Tell us the story about when your passion for photography first started?

I was first introduced to a DSLR camera in middle school, my sister had wanted me to take photos during her art show and was impressed. If I remember correctly she told me to look into getting a camera after that. I took a photo class in high school and learned about the fundamentals of photography but didn't get my own camera and truly get into photography until my first summer out of college thanks to my brother gifting me my first Nikon camera - so I'd say the passion began in my high school days.

What is the story behind your favorite picture?

I use public transportation almost every day and after a while I began to notice just how much myself and my fellow commuters are immersed in our worlds look at our phones until we get to our destination. Seeing this everyday is a great reminder for me to reach for my book first before my phone, and let me be clear there are still other commuters with a book in hand too. This past year I learned about media ecology, and during almost any environment that I'm in , it's interesting seeing the impact of technology on human behavior. if you're interested I'd recommend the book Amusing Ourselves to Death by Neil Postman (he actually introduced the term).

How was collabing with the Never Seek Approval Team?

It was dope! Collabing with the team and with Gabrielle was a very fun, very smooth experience. Like I mentioned the day of the shoot, I didn't know too much about sustainable fashion but to have a discussion and learn from the team gave me added perspective into how I can do my part and still look good at the same time. Outside of the educational experience, the entrepreneurial spirit of the NSA team is magnificent. Experiencing all of the challenges that come with maintaining an ethical business is commendable especially in today's climate, and it's very clear how much they care about spreading awareness of sustainable fashion.

How can someone get in contact with you…
